HELPER — ROLE-SPECIFIC TERMS

These terms apply to anyone registering as a Helper and supplement the General Terms of Service.

1. Role of the Helper

A Helper helps with student-led activities arranged through the Platform.

A Helper is not an Animator or English teacher unless separately authorised.

2. Student-Led Activities

Helpers can do activities like:

  • conversation practice
  • role play
  • interviews
  • discussions
  • speaking exercises
  • pronunciation practice
  • other approved activities

The activity and duties change with each booking.

3. Professional Conduct

Helpers must:

  • speak respectfully
  • follow activity instructions
  • let Learners speak enough
  • avoid embarrassing others
  • keep proper boundaries

4. VOIP

When using VOIP, Helpers only use it for assigned activities.

Helpers cannot use Learner contact info to contact them outside the Platform.

5. Personal Information

Helpers keep Learner info private and do not share or misuse it.

6. Cancellation

Helpers who accept assignments must attend or participate as agreed.

If Helpers cannot participate, they must tell the Platform as soon as possible.

Repeated no-shows may lead to Helper privileges being suspended.

7. No Teaching Authority

Helpers (unless separately registered) must not:

  • act as the lesson teacher
  • change lesson content
  • make promises for the Platform
  • claim to be another participant’s teacher

8. Acceptance

By registering as a Helper, you confirm you understand the student-led role and agree to these terms.
